Getting to know Jyoti Kumar

How did you first start working in recruitment?

I fell into recruitment due to wanting a new challenge in my professional life.  I wanted to go back to Nottingham so I decided to phone all the recruitment agencies within the Nottingham area. I eventually got a job with Prime Social Care in the Lace Market and I’ve never looked back since!

If you didn’t work in recruitment what would you be doing today?

If I didn’t work in recruitment I would want to work as an events manager, working within weddings and special occasions. Either that or I would like to be the marketing manager for the Asiana Bridal Magazine.

What is your Favourite thing about recruitment?

The best thing in recruitment for me is the fast paced environment and the great people that can be met through the business. I enjoy changing peoples’ lives for the better and I am only happy when my candidate is happy.  Also the commission is good!!

Who inspires you and what is the one thing you cannot live without?

If I had to choose a person that inspires me it would be my Dad as he has taught me many things, mainly to never give up. He is strong and I will forever look up to him. Motivational speakers inspire me as a lot of them have turned their lives completely around from having nothing to great success.

If you could choose a super power what would it be?

My super power would be the ability to be really strong physically and mentally, similar to Wonder Woman

Do you have any nick names?

I have two main nicknames that both friends and family call me. The first one is of Indian origin and is “Guddi”. This means little girl. Another nickname I have is Kumes (Relating to my surname)

What is  the last book you read?

The last book I read was called The Secret and is about the law of attraction

If you could have any three people round for a meal who would it be and what would you have?

I would have Drake, Albert Einstein and Ghandi round for a meal as all three  inspire me  in different ways.  For the food I would go for an Italian dish with Pasta Arabbiata, fries and garlic mayo.

Whats the one thing you couldnt live without?

If I had to choose one main thing I couldn’t live without it would be food (Literally).

One question for next person?

What do you want to be remembered for?
